My career started on the shop floor as an apprentice then a journeyman Structural Steel Plate Fitter. This is where I fabricated and welded complex custom fabrications. I then graduated to Project Management and Cost Estimation. This required me to read and understand all project specifications, submit bids, and most importantly to ensure quality specifications and code requirements were satisfied.

 

After progressing in project management, I turned my attention to inspection. I completed the CWB’s special course for level one inspectors. Shortly after receiving my level one, I started my career as an independent third party inspector. In 2016 I completed the CWB level two welding inspection course and received my level two accreditation. As of 2024 I am qualified as an Aramco certified inspector.

 

All this has accumulated to over 25 years of diverse experience in the Custom Steel Fabrication industry. This includes Inspection, Project Management, Cost Estimation, Custom Fabrication, and Welding. I have built, managed, and inspected fabrications and equipment for the Oil and Gas, Hydroelectric, Nuclear Power, Mining, Wastewater Treatment, Water Filtration and Petrochemical Industries.

 

This wide range of experience has given me the foundation to become a well-rounded inspector with a firm understanding of applicable codes.
